Why Our Evolved Identity Matters – And What It Means for the Future

2nd Mar 2026

Over the past year, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what it really means to be an alliance in an energy landscape that’s changing faster than ever.

Technologies are shifting, expectations are rising, and the challenges facing the UK - affordability, security and sustainability - are only becoming more complex.

That’s why today feels like an important milestone. We’ve unveiled an evolved identity for EUA, one that reflects who we are now and the role we need to play as we help advance energy for homes and businesses.

This refresh isn’t about a shiny new logo for the sake of it. Yes, you’ll notice a more dynamic logotype, a colour‑accented “A,” and a new symbol made of three interlocking, arrow‑shaped segments. But every part of it has a purpose. Those three segments represent exactly what we stand for: interconnected strength, forward motion, and our relentless focus on tackling the energy trilemma.

Just as important as the visual change is the clarity we’re bringing to how we describe ourselves. We’re moving away from talking about “divisions” and instead presenting our six specialist groups clearly and confidently as the communities at the heart of our work. These groups - spanning networks, domestic and commercial heating, heat networks, radiators, and hot water storage - give members the technical depth and sector‑specific insight they rely on. The alliance brings them together with one unified voice.

For me, what remains constant is as important as what’s evolved. Our century‑long commitment to supporting members, informing better decisions, and helping shape responsible, evidence‑based policy isn’t going anywhere. We remain technology‑agnostic, open‑minded and focused on what genuinely works for people, businesses and the country.

This refreshed identity tells our story more clearly: when we unite, we lead. When we collaborate, we create change. And when we advance together, we make energy work - for homes, for businesses, for everyone.
