The forum is intended to provide EUA member companies with updates from across UK utility standards, approvals and accreditation bodies and to offer industry support where appropriate. We will hear from:
- Water UK Standards Board Technical Secretary: With updates on Water Industry Specifications (WIS) and Information & Guidance Notes (IGN), parallel developments, users’ interaction via the new Standards Board website and WUK representation on standards committees.
- British Plastic Federation Pipes Group Director: BPFPG is a leading trade federation of the UK plastic piping systems industry and a member of the European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association (TEPPFA). Amongst other things they access information resources in the form of News Articles, Guidance Notes, Webinars and Position Statements which cover areas of interest to specifiers, manufacturers and installers of plastic piping systems.
- IGEM Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) EUA Representative: Thefunctions and responsibilities of TCC are; to study and review all gas engineering and other technically related matters incumbent upon IGEM as an independent chartered professional engineering institution.
- Achilles UVDB: is one of the utility industry pre-qualification systems used across the UK. Working closely with key buying organisations in the utility sector, this community helps them achieve the highest standards of supply chain assurance.
- Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (Utilities): LRQA independently assess service providers working within the electricity, gas, and water sectors
