Smart Meter Roll Out – Where are we really? Utility Metering 2016
24th Aug 2016
‘Smart Meter Roll out - Where are we really?’, is just one of the questions being asked at this year’s Utility Metering conference, taking place on the 29th September at the Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham.
Answers will also be sought to; how smart metering plays its part in CMA’s energy market recommendations? What are the outstanding technical issues for meters and comms, and how are they being addressed? What is the true scale of the skills and resources challenge to deliver the smart programme commitment? What is the status of customer engagement strategies and actions?
Isaac Occhipinti, Head of External Affairs at EUA said “The journey of the Smart Meter Roll out programme has been a fraught one, only last week we heard that the DCC had delayed the release of 1.3 until later in the year. This conference takes stock of where we are and aims to answer the questions of how can we drive this programme forward. We are delighted to be joined by experts from across the industry, together with representatives from Ofgem, CMA and BEIS all of whom will endeavour to unpick the challenge that is the smart meter programme. The conference also provides an excellent showcase and supply chain exhibition.”
