15th Sep 2016

The closing date for applications for this year’s prestigious Harvard Award is 30th September 2016.

The programme, managed by the Utilities and Service Industries Training Limited (USIT), is a sponsorship programme that enables successful applicants to attend the High Potentials Leadership Programme at Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.

Mike Foster, Chief Executive of EUA and USIT Trustee said “There are just a few days remaining to submit an application for this year’s award, so if you have been thinking about applying do it now. The High Potentials Leadership Program is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The programme has been specifically designed for individuals with 10 to 15 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility and brings together top performers from across a range of companies, diverse by size, sector and stage of growth, to develop their skills and share best practice. This will be the last year the programme will operate and so it really is your last chance to benefit.”

James Jesic, Head of Wholesale Operations at Severn Trent Water attended the course last year, he said “Harvard has a world renowned reputation and it lived up to this status. World leading Professors provide feedback on your own leadership style and presence, and with discussion and coaching help you really reflect on how to become a more effective leader.”

The Award covers economy travel, accommodation and course fees, employers may need to finance any additional costs.

Applicants should submit a paper explaining in up to 1,000 words how they, their company and the utilities industry would benefit if they won the Award.

Closing date for applications is 30th September 2016.
