ICOM team ‘Under starter’s orders’ for CRASH £2017 Challenge
13th Dec 2016
The Industrial & Commercial Energy Association, ICOM are ‘under starter’s orders’ as they gear up for the launch of the inaugural ICOM & CRASH £2017 Challenge. The Charity Challenge, being organised by ICOM, will see teams from ICOM and member companies ‘racing’ virtually, for 90 miles; the distance between ICOM’s offices in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, to CRASH headquarters in London.
Teams will compete to raise the most money and complete the journey by the most unusual method for CRASH, the construction industry’s charity that assists homeless and hospice charities with construction related projects.
Ross Anderson, Director at ICOM said “ICOM together with its members really believe in the work that CRASH do. This challenge is a great way to raise money for this exceptional charity whilst burning some post-Christmas calories and having fun. Our team will be covering the miles by walking, biking, scooting and Zumba!
Members will also be entering teams and there will be recognition at the ICOM Annual Lunch on Wednesday 7th June 2017, for the team which raises the most amount of money and the one with the most unusual way of covering the miles. Our overall target for this challenge is £2017."
The ICOM & CRASH £2017 Challenge will take place during January and February and will see teams of up to 4 virtually race, for 90 miles, raising money as they go.
