EUA’s Innovation Day back by popular demand
18th Jul 2016
The Energy and Utilities Alliance, EUA’s Innovation Day, held at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry, proved so popular amongst network engineering and equipment companies that a second event was organised to fulfill demand.
Mike Foster, Chief Executive of EUA said “The first event proved so successful that we had to organise a second in order to meet demand. We know that innovation is a key driver for companies across the national infrastructure and utility supply chain. This event- held in early July- event offered first hand access to the MTC which together with Innovate UK form part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult.
On the agenda was the development of innovative manufacturing processes and technologies in an agile, low risk environment, and the partnership role that industry and academia has.
The centre has some of the most advanced manufacturing equipment in the world, and employs a team of highly skilled engineers, many of whom are leading experts in their field and so we are delighted that the MTC agreed to collaborate with us once again.”
Andy Vine Business Development Manager of ALH Systems Limited and Chairman of EUA’s Network Engineering and Equipment Group, NEEG said “Being a member of EUA’s Utility Networks, specifically NEEG offers many benefits. In addition to having access to unparalleled sector intelligence and exceptional business learning, membership also provides the opportunity to network with peers and the forum to influence industry leaders, this event was an excellent example of this.”
