The Energy and Utilities Alliance is delighted to be supporting the forthcoming Next Steps for smart meters seminar taking place on Tuesday 1st December 2015.
Taking place in central London the seminar will tackle smart meter programme delivery, technological innovation, and consumer engagement with the key note being delivered by Jonathan Simcock, Managing Director of Data Communications Company.
Isaac Occhipinti, External Affairs Manager said “With the mass roll-out of smart meters due to begin in late 2015, this seminar will provide a timely opportunity to assess progress, responsibilities and priorities.”
It follows the last Energy and Climate Change Select Committee's report, which raised concern about aspects of the smart meter roll-out plan - with attendees at this conference expected to include senior government officials from DECC and other relevant departments and key stakeholders involved in the roll-out and operation of smart meters, energy companies, consumer and campaign groups and other interested parties.
Delegates will discuss latest issues on practicalities of installation, including workforce skills, and readiness across infrastructure to cope with the mass installation as well as consumer engagement with smart metering, energy efficiency and regulatory co-operation.
