Combating Legionella & Water Treatment Conference supported by ICOM

13th Sep 2016

The Industrial & Commercial Energy Association, ICOM will be supporting the Combating Legionella & Water Treatment Conference, taking place at Villa Park, Birmingham on 22 - 23 September 2016.

Ross Anderson, Director of ICOM said “This year is the 40th anniversary of Legionnaires’ disease and for the last 13 years this international conference has been bringing together the very best thinkers and specialists to discuss this topic.

HVAC and water systems play a major role in the spread of this deadly bacteria and so by law, all hot and cold water systems within any commercial property or one open to the public, must be assessed for risk of legionella and so ICOM as the leading trade association in the industrial and commercial heating sector are natural partners for this event.”

This year also sees the launch of the new Combating Legionella & Water Treatment Awards, of which there are four categories: Best Legionella management plan, Product of the Year, Supplier of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.
