The government’s action will be welcomed by households nationwide.

Commenting on today’s budget announcements, Mike Foster, CEO of the trade body EUA said:-

“As winter approaches, energy bills remain the top concern for households across the country. In a decisive move, the Chancellor has announced measures to remove levies from energy bills, reducing the average household bill by £150.

“This initiative is expected to make a significant impact by tackling fuel poverty and supporting vulnerable families; easing financial pressure during the colder months and providing relief to millions who previously faced the unenviable choice between eating or heating.

“The government’s action will be welcomed by households nationwide, ensuring that families can stay warm without sacrificing other essentials.”
